From the Pastor:
Karl's May Message to the Congregation
of
Bee Ridge Presbyterian Church
FROM YOUR PASTOR
April 20, 2008
Dear Bee Ridge Members & Friends,
Special thanks to all of the volunteers and staff who helped make the fall-winter "season" such a joyful time for our church family! Events like: Bee Ridge Concert Series #2; Sunday anthems; weekly Sunday School classes; Advent & "post Easter" study series; Souper Bowl, CROP Walk & 30 Hour Famine; Tailgate Party, Sock Hop, & Game Night; Presbyterian Women Gatherings; daily caring by the "Congregational Care Committee"; "Winter Weigh Down"; faithful work by session, committees, and countless hours volunteered by church members— these are just a few examples that represent all of the ways Bee Ridge members and friends fill our congregation with faith, hope, and love!
The Apostle Paul tells that "our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ..." (Philippians 3:30). I am thankful for the countless ways that members and friends bring a bit of heaven to earth. These everyday actions of faith, hope and love help us to share and enjoy eternity with each other and with our neighbors. Thanks for living as citizens of heaven here on earth!
Your pastor and friend,
